Male Dolichopus, probably discifer based on form of fore tarsi, color, and antenna shape. The key to Northern European species by Grichanov may help you. |

Dear Raimo and John, I can assure you that you are dealing with a male of Dolichopus discifer. I would also recommend you to either use Parent (1938), Assis Fonseca (1978) or the Dolichopus sections of the Lindner series for identification. Cheers, Marc |

One more remark: the correct name is D. nigricornis, not D. discifer (which is a synonym). Cheers, Marc |

If what Igor wrote is still current, then I guess it should be discifer... Marc?

Thanks all! If you report it as D. nigricornis into the Swedish reporting system "Artportalen" you are given the name D.discifer. |
