This is Rhinophoridae - note the diverging calyptrae. The genus is definately Phyto and it should be Phyto melanocephala, unless of course you have other similar species. Cheers, Walther |

Thanks Walther ! That solves my headache with this one. We also have Pytho cingulata, but t1 with 1 ad should point to P melanocephala. I was also in to Tachinidae with this photo. Is the subscutellum the part over the "hamburger" in this photo ?
