As it was raining, I have not gone to the wetland ... I put a very ripe fruit on my terrace, and small midges have gone ... The pictures are from different specimens, but in my opinion, I think they are all the same species. Photograph taken on November, 03 2012, in terrace housing in urban areas, Motril, Granada, Spain. Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast. I think Drosophila simulans - certainly Drosophila (Sophophora) melanogaster group, and therefore likely to be Drosophila melanogaster or Drosophila simulans. I think the very narrow gena, and the failure of the black bands to reach the edge of tergites points strongly to Dsim over Dmel.
