Odd, can you see a strong pteropleural bristle on this specimen? I think Fausta should have it. Is it a male and can you extract the genitalia?

are you referring to sternopleuron(=katepisternum)? It has one strong bristle in there. For genitalia, now it is impossible as the specimen is too bristly to extract it. |

No, the pteropleuron is the area above the katepisternum and under the place where the wings attach. There is usually a patch of long hairs and sometimes long bristles. Haven't seen Fausta in 20 years (other than in my collection) ! Dorsal shot would be helpful, to see important features. (broad vertex, paucity of ACR brisltes) Theo |
