If it is indeed Lauxaniidae it should be Cnemacantha muscaria...

Thanks Paul. It seemed to tick all the boxes for Lauxaniidae in Unwin's key, but I may have gone wrong. All the Cnemacantha muscaria in the forum have strongly darkened wings - but I think they are all female. Is the male different in this respect? Stephen. |

Hi, Cnemacantha muscaria is correct. It is not dimorfism on wings, wings of this aspecimen are unussually light. Katka |

Thank you Katka. I had another look at the specimen, and the shading on the wings is perhaps a little more apparent than in the photos, but still very light. Stephen. |
