Hi My gut feeling says this is a Calliphoridae - maybe the Pollenia itself. It has 5 mm. But this fly seems to have subscutellum... jorgemotalmeida attached the following image: ![]() [193.94Kb] Edited by jorgemotalmeida on 30-08-2009 21:54 |

I will! At the moment I'm using a mercury light trap trying to see if I find here the Therobia... (very improbable but..). I will upload more photos during the hunting in my backyard. A note on this fly: it was seen in a very high mountain at almost 1700 m maybe doing hilltopping. Not sure if this is usual for Stomina... |

well.. the absence of strong bristles (and it is not a phasiin..) makes more probable the Pollenia or similar.. ![]() jorgemotalmeida attached the following image: ![]() [178.76Kb] |
