Hi ![]() During a walk in Bologna (northen Italy), I've encountered this fly. To my eyes, it looks very similar to both Pirellia vivida and Neomyia cornicina; but which one is it? Thanks! Bye Menhit attached the following image: ![]() [63.35Kb] |

I think it is Lucilia spec.

Metallic Muscidae usually have fewer acrostichal bristles than the three pairs on this fly. |
