Yes, this is an excellent unmistakable female of H. scutellata.
Have a look at the scutellum.

For once, an easy Haematopota.

You are right, it is not mentioned by Portillo.

Well, it is a typical mountain-species, I'd definitely expect
it on the French side of the Pyrenees.

I'd say I am pretty sure (99,8 %), given the large white spot on scutellum, the colouration and the shape of the third antennal segment and the yellowish colouration on femur 2, nicely shown in the last picture.

As said, one can hardly go wrong with typical scutellata.

If you need a confirmation on the last 0,2 %, I'd need to see the specimen 'life'. In that case, send me a PM.
