Dear forum,

here I do not dare to name this female E. luniger on my own, so I ask for your opinion. There`s just that one photo available. There seems to be a blackish frons, and yellow stains on tergites 3 and 4 hardly reach the edge, but for me, without experience, it is not clear.
Thanks in advance for taking a look at this.

may, 14th, 2015, northern upper rhine rift, southwest germany, on blossom of Cotoneaster sp., 8mm.

Side view of the head would be helpful - if eye rim is broadened, you are right.

Thank you, Matej, for your answer and for this characteristic , which I was not uesd to so far. Broadened eye rim, ok, I `ll keep that in mind for next encounter with an Eupeodes...

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
