Third antennal segment is longer than segments 1 and 2 together, abdomen seemingly bare, frons black.
This points to a female Chrysotoxum intermedium, although it is generally believed this 'species' will turn out to be a species complex with more species in southern Europe!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
