Quite a colourful Tachina ursina Strange though ... There is clearly a narrow band of dust on tergite 5, so it really is ursina. But I understand the confusion. Moreover, it is much too early in the year for lurida. Theo |

Yeah, Theo summed up my confusion nicely ... the thin line means T.ursina here but I wasn't sure how variable the colour was in mainland Europe - especially in the south
