Hello! This male from the forest border yesterday morning (at 9-11 °C, northwest Germany) resembled Fannia lustrator (Fanniidae) in colouration and habitus. But it was at least 9-10 mm large! What else could it be? Mydaea urbana? (Too slender?) There were several of them, all this size. Some larger pics here: http://insektenfo...adid=33772 Juergen Peters attached the following image: [47.44Kb] Edited by Juergen Peters on 20-05-2010 22:58 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hello, Stephane! Stephane Lebrun wrote: Fannia lustrator. Strange! I have never seen such a big Fanniidae, thank you! Today I saw this species again (at least I think it was the same). The males were at least 8 mm, a female (last pic) only 4-5 mm. I had noticed, that the first animal of my second series had more separated eyes, but much less so than the female on the last picture. So I thought it was a male nevertheless.
