Unless there are other species of that genus in Spain it should be Sepedon sphegea.

I appreciate your information. Change the title to that content, to try to get confirmation.
The truth is that I do not know whether there will be other species of this genus. Perhaps another expert can tell us.

Best regards!

I searched on the site of Spain, Photography and Biodiversity, other possible species of this genus: in Spain.
I found these that are referenced in the Iberian Peninsula:
Sepedon Femorata: http://www.biodiv...38031.html
Sepedon sphegea: http://www.biodiv...68537.html
Sepedon spinipes: http://www.biodiv...84130.html
I have no skills or knowledge to distinguish them.
I find more resemblance to Sepedon spinipes.
Any expert can confirm which is the fly of my photo?
Best regards from the south of Spain.

S. Sphegea has frons black.
so, it is either S. spinipes or something interesting...

Heh, heh .... This sounds like something new ... which is always exciting. Grin
I'm going upstairs to Gallery soon.
At the moment there is no real specimen. I always do all possible photos take flight until ... But while this is the first time I've seen, maybe we will find it again and then ... I'll remember. Wink

Best regards.

Hello.
I noticed that the gallery has been uploaded as Sepedon (Parasepedon) hispanica hispanica .
What does it mean (Parasepedon) adding parentheses?
Thanks

It has been assigned to a different subgenus than the other species of Sepedon (at least the European species). Parasepedon, among other characters, has no anterior notopleural setae; these setae are present in Sepedon s.str.

Thanks for the clarification. Although I am ignorant in the knowledge of the Diptera, I think asking questions, and thanks to your knowledge, I learn something ... little by little ... little by little ... Smile
