From midwest Sweden 2006-10-12. It was found this way (dead) outdoors on the metallic wall of a small garden shed. The size was close to 10 mm. I think this is an Anisopodidae sp!? According to my insect book there are five species of this family in Sweden and at Fauna Europaea I found five Sylvicola species recorded from Sweden: - Sylvicola fuscatoides - Sylvicola fuscatus - Sylvicola punctatus - Sylvicola stackelbergi - Sylvicola zetterstedti Is it possible to say which one? If I'm right so far, that is Edit: Changed subject (Sylvicola sp) crex attached the following image: [67.55Kb] Edited by crex on 03-11-2006 16:41 |

This is probably Sylvicola (Sylvicola) zetterstedti, a female.
