Chironomidae or maybe Chaoboridae? Is it possible to say for sure despite the low quality photo?

I'd go with Chaoboridae. Even though the genitalia are out of focus, there's enough detail to show that they are typical of this family.

Tony, thx for your response, here and in other threads. Somehow the antennae and genitalia were suspicious for me, in Chironomids both body parts look different. |
