Two fly pupae were picked from an aspen trunk on 15 March (Telemark, Norway) and hatched indoors on about 30 March. Here is fly no. 1 and both fly pupae.

Hi Morten
It looks at first sight like
L. sylvatica but as you know its only possible to be 100% sure by examination under a microscope. Fortunately its a male. Perhaps you can send me your 2021 Lonchaeids at the end of the season for identification and adding to the Norwegian checklist
