Colleagues are asking me: "I’m curious how you was able to enter Namibia in COVID time?" Very simple: took ethiopian airlines tickets (cheap and not bad) and enter Namibia after day stop in Addis-Ababa. At least in Namibia there is no carnitine at all. You can go anywhere (see map). Only no alcohol at Sunday (of course, there are alcohol too if one pay cash) and everything is closed at 19-00. (Do not ask me how these idiotic rules help against covid (as well as most of other idiotic rules)!) Outside Windhoek there are very few human beings in Namibia, thus should be no covid. I can not be sure with other African counties, but I suppose it is the same or almost so.
I had never travelled as comfortable: empty flights, empty airports, empty and cheap lodges and hotels!
When back in Russia I have to be check on covid in 3 days, if negative - I'll be as free as usually.

At least in Namibia and Ethiopia there was no quarantine. I'd say that they do not much care about PCR test or vaccination.

Welcome to Africa! Hotels are empty, nobody cares about covid.
