Hi,
I photographed this hoverfly near Bologna, Italy on May 13th, 2020. Looking at the gallery, I guess it must be a male of Sphaerophoria scripta - is this correct?

Hello,
abdomen is longer than wings, so yes:
S. scripta male.
Should better be placed in the Syrphidae subforum.
