Is it possible to ID these flies? Near Apeldoorn on 13/09/2020. Photo 1 is a different individual to Photos 2 and 3. They seemed to be attracted to a tree-trunk in the full sun.

Hi James, I think it is Phyto (Rhinophoridae) - a small petiole on vein r4+5.

I missed that. Thank you, Eric. There is only one Phyto known in NL and that is P. melanocephala.
