True ... and not. P. processioneae has two generations yearly, which is very weird if you are monophagous and your host has only one generation. Largest numberst, at least in rearing experiments, are at end of August. This is not understood.

That said, the head profile and rather reddish tibiae both suggest female pavida. Females are very difficult to tell apart.
