Please identify flies. Slovak Republic, Malá Fatra, approximately altitude cca 514 m a. s. l. Length approx. 2 mm. Thank you very much for your help. Best regards. Fote date: 24. 07. 2020.

I'd agree with Milichiidae - I don't think any other family has a big black "M" stamped on the frons like that!

Hello People,

I can see the 'M' shaped mark, the dark halteres and the very narrow genae, that leads me to conclude: Desmometopa sordida.
