I am new to looking at diptera and would like to know if anybody can assist in identifying this one please.
They are currently visiting a Euphoria ingens in Cape Town, South Africa, along with many other flies, wasps and bees.

Why not Lucilia?

The hind margin of tergites seemed dark, which is not seen in Palaearctic Lucilia. On second look, they are not very convincing.
So additional arguments for either view are necessary.
