Hello,

A Cecidomyiidae found in North of France, Oxelaere, the 11 April 2020, on a white wall near a garage entrance, in a garden
It is possible to say in which subfamily this specimen could be in ?

Catocha latipes species group, with at least four European species only distinguishable by putting a male under a microscope.

Thanks you very much, John !!
I did not except it would have been possible to go to the genus or the species group level
I should post it to the gallery :)

The more basal fungus-feeding groups of Cecidomyiidae are much easier to identify than the gall-making groups.
