I think your best option is a paper by Jens-Hermann Stuke (2010). Die Uferfliegen Niedersachsens und Bremens (Diptera: Ephydridae).

Scatophila is on pp.213-216]. If your specimen is a female, it may be more tricky. I think I have a copy I can send you.
