Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Pinneberg-Waldenau near Hamburg, at the edge of the mixed forest Klövensteen, at a metallic railing under big oaks and pine trees, nearby also beeches, length: 7mm; Outsidephotos: kuv, 11th of March 2020. My idea is Mikiola fagi. Is that ok? Please help to get the ID.

Supertribe Lasiopteridi.
Mikiola is in that supertribe.

Hi John, thank you very much for your answer.
I just found two pictures of a second midge (same place two days before). Better for ID?
Greetings Kuv

My literature for adult Cecidomyiidae of the gall-making groups only covers American genera. We do not have
Mikiola in America and I do not know how to identify adults.
