Hi all:
This fly was collected on March 31st, 2019 in Shanghai, China. Is it a
Calliphora vomitoria?

I am uncertain exactly which species of
Calliphora you have in China, but this one looks more like
Calliphora vicina (the hair on the jowls is black, and the anterior spiracle is orange).

C. vicina and
C. vomitoria are listed as the two commonest species in the genus for Shanghai, so I think I will stick with
C. vicina!

Hold tour horses ! The vertex is too broad for male vicina and the calypter is not darkened, so there is no way this is vicina (or vomitoria). It is very likely one of those eastern palaearctic species. I need to check the literature.

It is the male of C. grahami for the reasons given.
