Hello,
August 25, 2016 in the south of France.
A Tabanus I think, but can we go to the species with these pictures?

Pity we don’t have a frontal view. Yes, a Tabanus, probably in the glaucopis group.

I was hoping that the colour distribution on the legs could be a criterion. Next time, I'll try to take more pictures from different angles. I see indeed that there are many species with these beautiful eyes!
