Not
Limonia. Probably
Tipula.

Thanks, John - I should've noticed the long palp. Changed the title accordingly

Hi Lorin, looks like Tipula (Savtshenkia) rufina - but these are reported IV-X in temperate Europe - all year in Mediterranean countries (Oosterbroek).
Regards, Eric

Can
Tipula confusa be excluded? That species is also abundant in the cold season. From the photos I've seen, the abdominal markings look different, but I don't know how variable that character is, nor what defines the species IDs in that subgenus.
In the diptera gallery, there is a report of
T. rufina from December in GB, so it can be expected here as well - there were only few nights below 0°C this winter so far.

R. L. Coe Tipulidae, T. rufina: "Sternopleura with a continuous, strongly defined, broad, blackish stripe extending across the pleurae from the neck to a point below root of wing..."
We can see this black stripe on your fotos and confusa misses this stripe (compared by Catalogue of the Craneflies of the World

Dear Eric,
thanks a lot for your help with the ID. That database quite helpful.
