Hello,

only 9-10 °C today, but sunny, and many flies on the wings. Among them also 4 species of Tachinidae, of which 3 were accustomed to me (Ectophasia crassipennis, Siphona cf. geniculata and Tachina cf. fera). But I am not sure about this one. About 7 mm, at a sunny hedge (northwest Germany).

Interesting... This August I had my first Thaumetopoea processionea ever at the light in our garden.

Really ? They have been a real nuisance in NL for the last decade.
The parasitoids follow the caterpillars “on their heels”, as we say in dutch.

not here in the northern part of Germany. But they were often in the news for the more woody regions in the middle (Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate etc.). There have been many discussions about the "toxic" caterpillars in the media.
