Hello,

Is this fly belongs to the genus Heteromyza ?

How can I separate the 4 species please ?

Taken on the 19 october, in a cave, south of France.

Hello Jessica,
Yes, it looks to be a female Heteromyza. But to identify it from photo is a bit too much. You can find a key here: https://www.zobod...1-0166.pdf
The species now in Heteromyza are both in Heteromyza and Thelida in Czernys' key...
Kind regards,
Ectemnius

Thank you very much !

The key is not easy for me ! The translation is bad with google, and I don't understand German. It seems that it is based on ratios of width between the forehead and the face. But I don't have pictures of the forehead.
