is it possible to determine the shown hover fly?

Body length: 7,5 mm.

Location: Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel, garden, October 6, 2019, 4.00 pm (photos: Joachim Das)

Hello,

this is no Xylota. Probably some Platycheirus (?) female, but I am no expert. You should use the Syrphidae subforum.
