Hi everyone,

Here is a Chrysops I find a bit strange: legs are black and it key out on C caecutiens, but I find the abdomen patern closer to those of my C relictus. Have you ever seen specimen like this?

Specimen is from Sweden (Stockholm, 09/08/2019) a marecagous area.

Well spotted and don’t use Central European keys in Stockholm !

Ch. divaricatus.

COmmon in Estonia, so I expect it to be not rare around Stockholm.
