Hello everyone,

I have had photos of this species since 2017 and i still cannot find similar photoson the web. I don't know what it could be other than Chloropidae. I have cropped the fly from the original photo so it is as big as it gets. The elongated frons is interesting. I see about 3 bristles on it. Any ideas?

Hello everyone,

I guess noone has objections to Chloropidae. Thus, i have spent some time reading about Chloropidae and i wonder if this is a Dicraeus sp? perhaps von Tschirnhaus will visit. Otherwise, i will try to find it again someday.

What about Agromyzidae?

I thought abou Agromyzidae also but i don't have alot of material about Agromyzidae. I only have Phytomyza ranunculi identified from this family. I don't have enough experience with Agromyzidae to exclude it.

Thank you for the suggestion. Maybe someone can confirm Agromyzida. Whatever it is, i'd like to add it to the gallery because we are missing photos of its genus (I think so).

Tip of the abdomen suggests Agromyzidae, as do the chaetotaxy and the whitish halters

the tip of the abdomen reminds me of Melanagromyza but the yellow frons confuses me.
