Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Drosophila? (= probably Megaselia rufipes pupa)

Many of these pupae were in a bin of trash, mostly from a kitchen. I assume they are a synanthropic Drosophila. Massachusetts, USA.

Yes,very probably. It is easy to raise adults - try it please.

These are Phoridae puparia - most likely Megaselia rufipes
