Berlin - August 2019 - 11mm female?
found this sitting on a stony road leading to a hilltop area. I am tired today and i don't want to key it. I've worked the field all day and i'd like to relax :)
I think that it looks like Tachininae. My guess is
Peleteria rubescens. I also guess that it is a female.
Thank you,
John

As long as you stay away from the Alps and the antenna is dark, it is P. rubescens.

Thank you very much, Theo. I am happy to have an id for this one. I spent some time battling to figure out a proper genus before i settled on Peleteria. I still wasn't sure if i was seeing it correctly. Tachininae can be tricky too.
Someday i'd like to roam around in the alps. Maybe i will find some interesting specimens.
Best wishes,
John
