Hello,
This fly was found dead inside a house in Italy in the Piemonte area last July. Based on the indicated criteria, I would say that it is Helina deleta. Is this correct?
Have a good day,
Widus

Additional images. Note that the prosternum is clearly bare when viewed with a binocular magnifyer (hard to assess from the upper right inset provided, sorry about that).

Generally your identification looks correct. I collected H. deleta in July from Serbia, but this series is not with me presently. I do not remember is anterior spiracle as dark as on your image. Check eyes (on black background) should be spersely hairy.

Thank you Nikita. I thought I did not see any hair on the eyes when I first looked at the fly but then, following your advise, I checked again this time under a dark background and yes the eyes are sparsely haired (see image provided; I also put another view of the prosternum)

So with the information provided, can we formally validate
Helina deleta ?

I think so. Anterior spiracles should be dark as it is on your specimen.
