On a wooden fence that divides a forest from a park.

If there are bristles on the hind basistarsis and vein M is bent abruptly in the middle of the last section as seen from above, Dolichopus. If the hind basitarsus is bare and vein M is nearly straight in the middle, Gymnopternus. What I can see of the color, bronze stripe on thorax and pale lower postocular hairs, is more typical of Dolichopus. Also, Gymnopternus usually has a row of short bristles on the fore tibia where long bristles are visible.

s Joh, I fear that the hind tarsi are not enough in focus for distinguish the bristles. If generic identification is nearly impossible I suppose that specific ID will be much so.
