Hi, this seemed to me quite brown-red, so I would be happy to know if it may nevertheless be Scaeva pyrastri... :-) Found on Cichorium intybus on 29-June-2019 in Germany near Frankfurt/Main, floodplain forest of the river Rhine, Hesse, Nature Reserve Kühkopf
Thanks and regards, Stella

Hello,

yes, it is Scaeva pyrastri.

P.S.: There is a Syrphidae subforum.

Hello Jürgen,
thank you very much for your help!
And thanks for the info concerning the Syrphidae subforum! I somehow missed that one.
Those are only my first threads and I am thankful for such hints!
Viele Grüße
