Hello World, i found this at my balcony attracted to light. I see very long arista which makes me think about Sphaeroceridae. is it Sphaeroceridae? anyone able to suggest a genus?

to the forum: i am wondering if anyone has a copy of "Handbooks Identification British Insects 10, Part 5e"? This is the only document that i can find regarding keys

hmm. I've done some research and i am pleasantly surprised to find alot of images for this group. boldsystems has many of them and a few others are floating around the net identified by Paul Beuk. I deduce that this species must be Copromyza but none of the Copromyza for Germany have orange femora. The hind femur is only apically darkened.
a bit more research and i found a match but it is not listed for Germany.
Could this be Copromyza pseudostercoraria?
