Seems to be one of our few European robust Phytobia Lioy species (Agromyzidae, Phytomyzinae), all being miners below the bark feeding on the young xylem of certain trees belonging to Salicaceae, Betulaceae, Fagaceae and Rosaceae. The silvery lunule above the antennae is typical for this genus. Determination only after the male genitalia!
