Hi!
This adult fly (about 1mm long) eclosed from (dozens of) larvae infecting the abdomen of a carpenter ant queen collected (live) in Switzerland.
I'm not a dipterist, so even a family ID (Phoridae?) would help.
Sorry for poor image quality and angle, I'm trying to keep the adults alive in the hope they will mate and infect new ants in the lab.
Any advice on how to maintain these flies would also be very welcome.
Thanks!
