Today I saved this female Chrysops out of a drinking trough for the horses. Legs completely black, design on tergite 2 very vague, but just visible. With the new "Veldgids Dazen van Noord-West Europa" (Zeegers/Schulten) I think it might be Chrysops caecutiens f. ludens ?
