SW France, 2 days ago in a gaura flower, body size about 7 mm long.

Looking at the size, the veins, the abdomen bristles, but peculiarly the big antennas with the arista attached to the base, we are thinking of this genus, possibly setipennis.

What do you think ?

Dear Lippo,

Triathria has a very different colouration. Check the gallery.
This is Clausicella.

Many thanks Theo,

We haven't been thinking of this genus. It seems there are only two species in France: suturata & puella, but we do not know how we could tell them apart. The Moschweb says: "subapical scutellar setae convergent only in C. suturata", but this cannot be seen on the photos I have. Anything else we could use ?
