Your old picture (id=11484) might show a male of the species which you photographed recently (a female). You may try to ask for identification a South-American specialist, e. g. Prof. C.R.Vilela (e-mail: crvilela@ib.usp.br). Anyway, L. maculosa, widely distributed in America (from USA to Argentina) looks like the flies you have photographed; this is just a suuggestion, not identification.
