Hi,
I have photographed this fly which I think belongs to the genus Empis near Paris.
The flower is a daisy.
Any idea of what species it could be?
Thanks for your help,
FRV

Probably but I cannot rule out
Rhamphomyia with certainty: the wing venation is not discenrnable and neither is the total length of the proboscis.
