Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Chrysops divaricatus? (Tabanidae, Germany)

Hey,
is this Chrysops divaricatus? Legs are entirely black. I looked it up in the gallery, but i´m not sure if there are similar species around.

Yes it is, but in the north east and quite close to the border. The exact locality is 52.845285, 13.856010, the date is 22.6.3019.
Is it an unusual species for germany?

Yes. It is a boreal species, not rare in Sweden and the Baltic States, but clearly rare in Central Europe and possibly disappearing due to climate change.
