Below three Asilidae from Malaysia, Feb. 2019:
1. Taman Negara NP

2. Taman Negara NP, maybe a bee-mimic robber, Laphria sp. ?

3. Cameron Highlands, approx.. 1500m

Do these photos allow more specific ID’s?
Thanks in advance
David

1) Asilinae (Apocleinae Lehr): Anacinaces sp., female. (WOW! First female, fact that they have ovipositor spines unreported!)
2) Laphriinae: Choerades sp., female. (A beauty!)
3) Asilinae: prob. "Heligmoneura" sp. (African genus with many Oriental spp. incorrectly included).
Sorry, no specific names... Cheers, Eric
