There was something seriously wrong with this fly - it made no effort to fly away, in fact it hardly moved at all. Three things:

1. The forehead does not seem to have fused properly?
2. There appears to be a brownish cocoon (?) at the front of the thorax ventrally. I have seen similar parasites on cicadas - is this a parasite?
3. Is it possible to ID her? Near Apeldoorn on 20/04/2019.

I have more photos from different angles and details if necessary.
