Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Pollenia labialis ?

I found this fly in february, 13-02-2019.
Location : Diepenbeek, Belgium
I think this is Pollenia labialis because the third segment of the antenna is red at the base but I have not so much experience with Pollenia.
Any second opinion is welcome.

Hello johan v,

reddish antennae is not a diagnostic feature. Furthermore, the basicosta is not visible enough for me to judge. The basicosta will be wholly/entirely black for labialis but labialis is not the only Pollenia with wholly black basicosta. The photos are too small for a Pollenia id request. Sorry.

Best wishes,
John
