Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Simulidae ?

Is this a black biting fly ? Pic taken today South coast UK body length 1.6mm (I thought it was a tiny parasitoid wasp)

wwow!! Brian, this not seems to be a Simuliidae! I never saw a head like this one!! And the arista is very long! :| wow!

I'm very. very curious about this one! It has such unusual eyes!!! It must be a new family! :D Or it is a very unusual simuliid. :S
